The Verdict is...No Verdict

I go back for another ultrasound on Friday. My estrogen level did go up a bit to 55, so the doc thinks that the dominant follicle I have is signaling estrogen production and, as it grows and produces more, there is still a chance my lining will shape up. I guess we'll find out. Friday will be cycle day 17.

I'll be hoping for some nice, thick lining! Since the dominant follicle isn't 'ready' yet there should still be a good chance that your lining will start kicking in.

Regarding your other post about your blog title, thawing all 14 of your embies... is there any chance they could just thaw maybe 8 or 9? That's still a high number of embies. If none of them make it to blast stage then you will still have 5 or 6 left, and it may indicate that those possibly would not make it to blast stage either... so could they then thaw those 5 or 6 and not wait for them to grow to blasts the next time? Then you wouldn't be putting all your eggs in one basket. (sorry for the pun)

I was also thinking....it may not be an indication of bad eggs if your embies don't grow to blasts in a petri dish because it's a lot more complicated (from what I have read) to grow them past day 3. You did get a lot of embies to day three, so wouldn't that indicate that your eggs are still ok? (obviously I'm not a Dr. but it was just a thought)

You must be frustrated...this just seems like it's dragging, but it's better to be ready than premature! Can't wait to hear about Friday!

Denise, I just wanted to let you know I am following you and thinking about this cycle, and keeping my fingers crossed for your lining. Could that be any more of a run-on sentence? I think not.

From one lining challenged girl to another, I hear you. The body does wonderful things (when she isn't trying to show you who's boss) and a few more days could be all you need. The good news is that you have a ton of embryos (good ones) to wait until your body is ready. Thinking of you on Friday.
