Opportunity Knocks

I'm taking this opportunity to get a quick post in while I feel up to it. Since Monday night the nausea has kicked back in and by the time I get home, all I want to do is strip, eat and go to bed (in that order). B made a really nice dinner for me tonight (okay, most nights) and I took one look at it and thought I was going to throw up just looking at it. I just couldn't force myself to eat it. So I ate a nice healthy dinner of bagel bites instead. Mmm. Pizza, pasta and pizza and pasta related items seem to be the only things I even sort of like these days. Food has become fuel to me this week, it is no longer pleasure and that's weird. The other weird thing is that the things that I usually love and crave (chocolate, ice cream, cookies, anything sweet) don't sound appealing to me AT ALL.

The nausea is not specific to any time of the day, the worst of it comes and goes throughout the day, but it is constantly there at some level. I'm not complaining. Really, I'm not. I know this is GOOD. It is a good sign that there's still something going on in there. It is just hard to focus on that when I'm concentrating so hard on not throwing up. In meetings.

5 more days until our first look at the Buns!

Laughing at io's comment!

Sorry about the nausea. But only sorry a little cause you're right. Something IS going on in there!!!

I'm lovin' the widgit baby by the way!

And yes, before you even posted a comment, I backtracked your blog to see how many days past retrieval it was when you were concerned about spotting. But we'll see... I think that would be just too, too easy! Thanks for your encouragement though.

I agree with Io - sounds like you've got some mini teens on your hands there!

You poor thing!!! You are definitely having more than one lady!

I felt so guilty reading your post, I have been over here wishing I would throw up "just once" so I could officially "feel" pregnant. And here you are confined to the world of starch and tomato sauce - and having to work all day in the midst of it.

I am such a slacker!!!

Big hugs to you as you work your way through pizza-related items. I think I am just about as excited for YOUR ultrasound as I am for my own!!! I cannot wait!!!

Oh, that sounds yucky and exhausting. I hope the nausea gets better soon, even if it means trading one bad symptom for another. Nausea is not one of my favorite 'side effects'... although the diagnosis hangover (my own pathetic experience) is not exactly something one gets sympathy for. ~grin~

That's why I love all the self-righteous proper pregnancy diet people. You really end up eating the 4 things that don't make you vomit or think of vomiting. Leave the rest up to vitamins, I say!

This may sound weird, but YAY for feeling crappy - I know you wouldn't change it for the world!

Sounds great, glad to hear the nausea is coming on strong, you must really feel pregnant.
Hope it goes away soon, I'm sure the novelty wears off pretty quickly.
have a great weekend.

I love your attitude. Hey, you can complain a bit-- I don't care what the cause is, wanting to hurl all day is grounds for a bit of bitching.

Keep chomping on those bites! Hope the u/s goes swimmingly!

Can't wait to see your update regarding the ultrasound.

Ugg. Pizza bites. What's next? corn dogs and tater tots? Hang in there. This too shall pass and it is a wonderful sign of a good healthy pregnancy!
